September WOTM Final week

Image
In the end Wren proved to be too formidable an opponent for Daneade, with Wren pulling well into the lead with a final Left Alert.  Well done Wren and well played Daneade. The race for second place has been a strong one and although the second and third places haven't changed on weeks, it wasn't for others trying their hardest.  Also, it isn't all about the frequent subbers - those that post the occasional and well honed sub make this site what it is.  Some great posts this month, keep it up.  The ticker list is on the Chat room post, and a great list it is too. Three quarters of the way through the month and Wren is well in the lead, however Daneade has had a lot of success (and some great posts) and it isn't totally in the bag yet.  Dick Everyman is attempting to live up to his avatar, with only Wren and Daneade to polish off and Oxy is still bubbling just under the radar. In fact the middle ground is looking very exciting and there's a lot of good subs posted this past week. September WOTM week 2

Halfway through September and it's still very close at the top. Sure Wren has pulled away and gained some distance over the ones behind but it isn't huge and is certainly capable of being challenged. Daneade is making a strong run for it and it's great to see long time regular Dick Everyman following up in third position. Week three shows that there is everything to write for. September WOTM competition week 1

One week in and we have three writers, Daneade, Dick Everyman and Wrenfoe vying for the lead position, with YB close on their heels.  Just a little further behind we have Jonny Shlep and Chrisf, with Titus bringing in a creditable four points.  Truly anybody's game so far this month. August WOTM competition - final week

A day late, but the results are out.  And technically Wrenfoe has won again by a country mile, however by the rules of the competition - specifically a rule proposed by good old Wren himself - the title cannot be won two months in a row so the title this month goes to dominic_mcg, mainly for his 17 wonderful tickers.  It's great to see a ticker writer take the title as they only score one point apiece so those who specialise in that skillset have to be more prolific than any other writer.  Well done dom. The top spot was also hotly contested by a few others including Daneade,   YB, Oxy and Titus.  I might have had a few subs in there too.  It might sound corny, but this isn't just about winning the crown and I've a lot of respect for each and every name on this list - all good work given freely, I think a group hug should be on the cards! As usual I will be posting the month's ticker list in the chat room and given that a ticker writer has won the title I think we a
