May WOTM - final scores

Well the results are in and it's no real surprise that Wrenfoe gets to wear the mug again for one more month.  It's been fun balancing it on the avatar for the last week, but the responsibility of holding onto the ceremonial mug is great - er, it was chipped already when I took control on May 1st, wasn't it.

The competition has slowed down over the last week, given the circumstances that's not a big surprise, but really Wren had it in the bag before the tragic events last week.  He deserves to wear the mug again, however the race for second place couldn't have been keener, so well done all at the top of the chart.  And without all the contributions from everyone on this list, whether they scored 34 points or a solitary point, we wouldn't have Newsbiscuit at all, so although only one person gets to wear the virtual porcelain, all contributions are truly welcome.

As mentioned last week, one of the big results this month is the ticker bar.  Like the rest of the site it has slowed a little over the last few days, but over the month an average of five new tickers were posted each and every day. I think it is only fair to say that DavidH is the unofficial ticker writer of the month, but Cinquecento, Maxine Jones and Dominic_mcg all gave him a strong run for his money.  As usual I will be posting the full ticker archive for the month int he chat room for anyone wanting to read them all again.

And tomorrow morning the competition starts all over again, with a General Election to spice the submissions up a bit. Let the games commence!
